If you could change one thing about the PBA what would it be? It could be a rule, DH, more teams in playoffs, what? I really want to hear from you guys. Faster sims, more sims, less sims?

Compensations for free agency signings! Had I know signing Leach would cost me a first round draft choice, I might not have done it!

I would change three things... My team name. I am ready to be the Braves now. Thanks Beaneaters but it's high time we look to the future as the Braves.
Second, I would like to see us go to a 4 division set up and have an ALCS + NLCS best of 7. No wild cards yet.
Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington - AL East Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit and St.Louis - AL West
Boston, Brooklyn, New York and Philadelphia - NL East Chicago, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and St.Louis - NL West
Last I would like to use the DH in both leagues... that's just me. I don't think pitchers need to be out there embarrassing themselves at the plate.

Oh - and I would say definitely keep free agent compensation ON. I didn't like this rule at first but I think it is a good thing. Pittsburgh could have been really hurt in the offseason because some guys demanded big money. At least now they will have a couple picks in the first round to try and get right. Also I was careful not to bid on any Type A FA's. It is there in the player contract screen and I checked it carefully before bidding.

I'm quite happy with the pace that we've now settled into.

I'm going to start a thread on "more playoff teams" so let's focus on something other than that. What else do we like/dislike? What would bring in more active people?

I'm all for the change in play-offs with the divisions as suggested. The other league I'm in has it and the competition is seriously fun! Also, I'd like to see more sims run then we currently have now! Heck, I'd go for a one week sim every day if I could get it. Lets leave the DH alone for a while.

More games simmed each sim day and more days of simming. A suggestion of 15 games simmed 5 days a week.

There are a few things I'd like to address about the PBA. We are in a deadball age and I am really surprised about the salaries of some of players. Are these salaries reflected on real salaries of the times, or are they trumped up by OOTP? It seems like we are stuck with limited resources and spiraling salaries. I also would like to see the minors expanded with are reliance on developing the talent in your system. Call me old school but the Reserve Clause would be great. ;D

No on the abomination known as the DH. Let the pitchers take their hacks!

And hacks they are.

The "AA" League is coming pretty soon. I'm not sure we have the players to fill AAA let alone AA.
Thoughts?

How about a larger draft with more HS kids. If we are imposing modern rules on the deadball era, I think that more 18-19 year olds would be interesting filling out AA and A ball.

I am not in favor of creating fictional players just to fill out a minor league system. I would rather have ghost players enabled than to have to manage the movements of fictional guys at low minor league levels.
As long as the big club is full and the minors have a player or two at each position to cover injuries on the major league roster and develop a real life rookie - I am content.

Yeah, I'm not too keen on ficitional guys either. I don't mind adding AA early (when the needs arises), I'm all for that. But adding fictional guys doesn't SEEM the way to go.
I am interested in more playoffs. I think baseball has been served well by more playoff teams and would have in the past with more playoffs. Just my thoughts.
