Joe Jackson seems to be the name thrown around the most with a .345 average and a .963 OPS. He is the star of the league, but his team did not make the playoffs.
Zimmerman hit .303 and plays 2. His OPS is a tad less than Jackson, but plays a traditionally weaker position. His leadership is impeccable.
Beals led the Naps all year and nearly pushed his team to the World Series. He hit .318 and knocked 12 HR. He nearly had 100 RBI, sitting at 99.
Larry Doyle ended the season read hot and manned a tough position at 2b. He hit .318, but his lack of power may hurt his chances.
Zack Wheat is one of the best pure hitters in the PBA, but his Senators were very bad this year. His .308 batting average may not be high enough to take this award.
Art Wilson plays a very demanding position (Catcher) so his stats are skewed a tad. He is one of the most respected players in the PBA.
