The Giants agree to send three prospects to the A's in exchange for two rentals.
The A's send SS Bobby Wallace and OF Fielder Jones to the Giants in exchange for SP Carl Druhot, SP John McCloskey, and 3b Eddie Zimmerman.
The Giants paid a tall price for two guys unlikely to re-sign with the club. We needed offense, told the league we were wiling to over pay, and we kept our word.
